Privacy Policy for the CookFlow app

1. Overview

Get Cooking respects your privacy. This app does not collect, store, or share any personal data. All your grocery lists and settings remain private and stored locally on your device only.

2. Data Collection

We do NOT collect:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Location data
• Photos (camera access is only used temporarily for recipe scanning)
• Any identifiable information

3. Local Storage

Your data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. This includes:

• Your grocery lists and items
• App settings (language, measurement preferences)
• Shopping route customizations

This data never leaves your device and is not backed up to any cloud service.

4. Camera & Photo Access

The app requests camera access to scan recipe images for ingredients (OCR feature). Photos are:

• Processed locally on your device only
• Never uploaded to any server
• Not stored permanently unless you choose to save them
• Deleted after processing

5. Third-Party Services

Get Cooking uses Google ML Kit for Text Recognition for on-device OCR. This service:

• Runs entirely on your device
• Does not send images to external servers
• Does not collect or share data

6. Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties because we don’t collect any data to begin with.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our app is safe for all ages as we don’t collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top.
